The
Icon of Friendship:
Our Lord and St Menas |
An increasing number
of people are seeking guidance in the art of prayer. The poverty of spirit
and alienation from God which goes to the heart of our society affects
us all. We are aware that we want to know more about God the unknowable.
We are aware, too, that if we want to explore and to experience the mystery
which is God, we need someone to accompany us on the journey.
For those who wish to deepen their spiritual life and to grow as a human
person before God, the Westminster Cathedral Centre for Sprituality arranges
regular confidential conversations with experienced and trained guides.
Many people have taken part in weeks of guided prayer at the Cathedral.
FIRST WEDNESDAYS 2010
We invite you to take time out to explore your spiritual journey on the
first Wednesday of every month in the Hinsley Room, Morpeth Terrace (right
of the main entrance to Westminster Cathedral ) between 12 noon and 4.30pm.
At 12 noon there will an input on prayer and at 12.30pm we will have 20
minutes silent meditation. At 2pm and 3.30pm there will be a short input
and guidance on prayer, then time for reflection and sharing. During the
day there will be an opportunity to talk one to one with an experienced
prayer guide. These days are free of charge and open to anyone of faith
and none.

little chapel in St. Paul's Bookshop, next to the Cathedral in the piazza.
There will be an introductory programme of six weeks, for anyone interested
