DESCRIPTION:On Saturday 20 June the Friends of Westminster Cathedral will visit St Michael’s Abbey and the Farnborough Air Sciences Trust. \nThe minibus will leave at 9.30am from Clergy House\, 42 Francis Street. \nFor those who wish to make their own way\, meet at the Farnborough Air Sciences Trust at 11am. \nWe will have lunch at the Farnborough Air Sciences Trust. They have a picnic area if you bring your own food and a café where food can be purchased. \nWe may have some capacity to collect from the station please make contact by email in advance friends@rcdow.org.uk.

DESCRIPTION:Luminescence is a ground-breaking take on the concept of son et lumière; a 360-degree video projection experience\, using 24 laser projectors\, which will bring the Cathedral to life in breath-taking ways with colour and imagery\, culminating in a vision of what the Cathedral may one day look like fully covered in mosaics. \nThe experience is accompanied by carefully selected music accompanied by a recorded poetic narration by Hugh Bonneville\, specially scripted for the Cathedral by Tim Whitnall. \nFour nights a week (Wednesday to Saturday) from 1 July 2026 to mid-September.
