DESCRIPTION:The Cathedral Christmas Fair will take place in Cathedral Hall\, Ambrosden Avenue on Sunday 14 December from 10am to 3pm. \nWe would appreciate donations of goods to sell on our various stalls such as UNUSED cosmetic and toiletry items\, unwanted gifts and bottles of wine\, spirits etc. But please no clothing\, shoes\, or used household goods. \nWe would be grateful for help from people willing to set up beforehand and to run a stall on the day. Raffle tickets at £1 each or £5 a book are now available. There are the usual great prizes and vouchers for meals in local restaurants. \nDonations may be left at Clergy House Reception (please mark them “Christmas Fair”). DESCRIPTION:On Saturday 13 September\, the John Bradburne Memorial Society will celebrate the life and cause of Servant of God and former Cathedral Sacristan John Bradburne\, with a Mass at 2pm and a ticketed reception in Cathedral Hall (Ambrosden Avenue)\, from 3pm to 5pm. \nThe self-described ‘Vagabond of God’\, John spent his final days as a lay Franciscan in Mutemwa\, Rhodesia\, caring for those with leprosy. By refusing to abandon the helpless\, he was martyred by guerrilla forces\, and is now on the path to canonisation. \nAll are welcome to attend the Mass\, and tickets for the exhibition\, refreshments\, entertainment and talks are available here.
