Cathedral Closed Wednesday 15 October

On Wednesday 15 October, the mortal remains of Field Marshal Lord Guthrie will be received into Westminster Cathedral, followed by a funeral Mass that afternoon. May he rest in peace.

Please note, the Cathedral will be closed to the faithful after the evening Mass on Tuesday 14 October, reopening at 4.30pm on Wednesday 15 October for Confessions, said Evening Prayer and said Mass.

Earlier Masses will be celebrated in our chapel of ease: Sacred Heart, 112 Horseferry Rd, London SW1P 2EF (see below).

As we pray for the repose of the soul of Lord Guthrie, we also keep his family, friends, and the Armed Forces in our prayers.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.
