Since 1902, the leaded windows in Cathedral Hall have served us well. However, they are now showing their age and leaking into the walls, causing damp and cold draughts.

Originally called ‘Chapter Hall’, Westminster Cathedral and Hall were built in tandem, with the Hall opening for the regular celebration of Mass and the Divine Office from Ascension Day, May 1902. Since then it has been at the forefront of the parish and many historical events, including the Papal Visit of Pope St John Paul II.

With your help, the Friends of Westminster Cathedral aim to remove and restore each window, beginning with those facing the street, at a cost of £50,000, securing the Hall for future generations, and creating a much nicer environment for all who use it.

Through the Big Give campaign, we hope to raise £20,000 which will be doubled to £40,000, thanks to our generous donors.

Therefore, every £100 donated will potentially raise £225 in matched funding and Gift Aid.

To donate, click here before the end of April, or email Friends@rcdow.org.uk

Thank you to all who have contributed so far.
