Chorister Opportunities

Could your son be a Westminster Cathedral chorister?

At Westminster Cathedral, choristers are ordinary boys doing extraordinary things.

Every September, up to six boys join our Choir School in Year 4 (age 8 ) or Year 5 (age 9).

Becoming a chorister means singing in a world-class choir while attending a leading independent school, with significantly reduced fees.

Many choristers arrive with little formal musical experience — and that’s absolutely fine. What matters most is potential: bright, curious boys who bring enthusiasm, imagination, a sense of fun, and a love of singing.

For the right boy, choristership is truly life-changing. It nurtures confidence, teamwork, discipline, and a lifelong passion for music and learning.
