When its busy liturgical schedule permits, the Choir takes its music further afield through concerts at the Cathedral, around the UK, and abroad. The renowned Grand Organ is in demand for organ recitals and the annual Grand Organ Festival. Details of any upcoming performances by the Choir and recitals on the Grand Organ can be found below.
Lunchtime Organ Recitals
Every Wednesday* from 1.15pm to 1.45pm, Westminster Cathedral offers free lunchtime organ recitals, played on the famous Henry Willis III Grand Organ by a host of organists. All are welcome.
A Christmas Celebration 2025
Westminster Cathedral presents A Christmas Celebration, festive music and readings pondering the Incarnation of Christ, with much-loved celebrity readers and the world-famous Westminster Cathedral Choir and Orchestra, under the direction of Simon Johnson.
Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 December, 7.30pm (doors open 6.45pm).

Stabat Mater 2026
Westminster Cathedral Choir and the Britten Sinfonia present MacMillan’s Stabat Mater, and Vaughan Williams’ Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis, under the direction of Simon Johnson. This Lenten concert of sacred reflection and profound musical devotion, brings together two masterworks that speak powerfully to the mystery of faith, suffering, and redemption.
Wednesday 18 March 2026, 6.45pm.
The performance begins with Sir James MacMillan in discussion with Fr Patrick van der Vorst, Precentor of Westminster Cathedral and Founder of Christian.art.
