It is an ancient Christian custom to pray for those who have died, especially in the month of November.
Throughout the month, one Mass each day will be offered for the Holy Souls in Purgatory and for those remembered on the November Dead list. Each Friday, this Mass will be celebrated in the Holy Souls Chapel at 10.30am (Latin).
If you would like to add the name of your deceased loved one to the list of November Dead, envelopes will be available in the Holy Souls Chapel. These can be placed, along with an offering, in the marked box, or in any of the collection boxes around the Cathedral.
