Music has been at the heart of Westminster Cathedral since its foundation, and our Choir regularly enhance the liturgy, and perform at various events throughout the year.
Westminster Cathedral receives no funding from the Vatican. We rely entirely on the generosity of supporters like you, which allows us to sustain our world class Choir, to maintain an historic building, and to pay substantial day-to-day running costs.
Our Community
Everyone is welcome at Westminster Cathedral. We are a diverse community, spanning all ages, ethnicities, languages and every type of background and experience – a wonderful mix of humanity, bound together by our shared faith and friendships. We may or may not all live in the physical parish, but what we have in common is that the Cathedral is our spiritual home.

Volunteering with like-minded people to achieve a common end can be both rewarding and a very good way of meeting new friends.

The Friends of Westminster Cathedral
The Friends are a focal point for the Cathedral’s worldwide community of supporters whilst also providing essential financial support for the music, fabric and maintenance of the building. The Society has a reputation for enjoyable talks and tours, social and musical events, and participation in these is a great way of getting to know people who love Westminster Cathedral.
