PTF – Thank You

Last weekend, on the Fourth Sunday of Easter, we celebrated Good Shepherd Sunday, a Day of Prayer for Vocations to the Priesthood.

Its was also an opportunity to raise much-needed funds to support those in formation, as life-long shepherds of the Church. On average, it costs £25,000 per man, per year of formation; about £150,000 total, to form and educate a new priest.

Thanks to your generosity, we raised over £4,000 for the Priest Training Fund, not to mention Gift Aid. Donations can still be made at the link below, or via envelopes at the back of the Cathedral.

‘I will give you shepherds after my own heart.’

JEREMIAH 3:15

In 2024, three men from Allen Hall, the Diocesan Seminary, were ordained to the priesthood, with a further 50 men in formation there. 13 of these are studying for the Diocese of Westminster, including two deacons who will be ordained this summer. A further two men are in the early stages of discernment in Royal English College, Valladolid.

Thank you for your generosity.
