Centering Prayer
Sessions of contemplative, silent prayer, conducted by Contemplative Outreach UK, are held in the Hinsley Room, Morpeth Terrace, on Saturdays between 10:00am and 12:00 noon. For further details please contact Jill Benet on 020 7252 2453, or at jillbenet@hotmail.com.
Charismatic Prayer Group
An ecumenical Catholic charismatic prayer group meets in the Cathedral Hall every Friday at 7.30pm. The meeting normally lasts until 10pm and is preceded by tea and coffee from 6:30pm. Please contact Kate Moir on 020 8397 3627 for further details.
Divine Mercy Prayer Group
A group meets every week to pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy in the Cathedral. This is a popular devotion to the passion of Christ, inspired by the visions of St. Faustina, which emphasises the importance of trust in the mercy and love of God. This group meets each Sunday after the 12 noon Solemn Mass (1.30pm) in St. Patrick’s Chapel, and all are welcome to join. Please contact Emmanuel N. Guild of the Blessed Sacrament
This group meets in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel on Mondays after the 5.30 pm Mass for Exposition and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.
Guild of St Anthony
The guild spreads St Anthony’s devotion; assists the poor through St Anthony’s Bread and donations to Cathedral charities. It meets in St Patrick’s Chapel on Tuesdays after the 5.30pm Mass and concludes with a prayer at St Anthony’s Shrine. All are welcome to join.
Oblates of Westminster Cathedral
The Oblates have resumed their monthly meetings after the Covid pandemic.
This group was founded some years ago by the late Bishop Patrick O’Donoghue, a former Administrator of Westminster Cathedral, to be prayer power supporting the Cathedral and its mission by liturgical and intercessory prayer. Meetings are normally held every fourth Sunday in the month in the Hinsley Room, Morpeth Terrace, at 2.30 pm for a spiritual address and intercessions. Oblates are then encouraged to attend Solemn Vespers and Benediction in the Cathedral at 4pm. There are also Associate Oblates located across the world who maintain their prayer support. Our Lady of Walsingham Prayer Group
This group meets every 1st Tuesday of the month in the Cathedral from 2.30 pm to 4.15 pm under the patronage of Our Lady of Walsingham and the Martyr Saints of England and Wales. Devotions include Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, the Rosary and the Chaplet of Mercy, as prayer is offered for the peace of the world and for the governments of nations according to the word of God.

RCIA Group
The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults group follows a course of study and discussion to prepare those wishing to convert to the Catholic faith, introducing them to Catholic beliefs and practices. Rosary Group
The Rosary is prayed each Saturday morning after the 10.30am Mass. Normally this is in the Lady Chapel; however, if a baptism is to take place there after the Mass, the Rosary is prayed in St George’s Chapel.
