Coronation Walking Tour

Acclaimed writer and speaker Joanna Bogle will be hosting this special event for The Friends, to coincide with the Coronation of HM King Charles III and Camilla, Queen Consort.
As well as being extensively published through Gracewing, Joanna is the Principal Guide at Catholic History Walks. As such, she is uniquely placed to guide us around Westminster to celebrate past and present coronation stories.
Meeting on the steps of Westminster Cathedral at 6:30pm, we will discover the history of St James Park and pass Buckingham Palace and find out about its pre as well as post-royal history. Encounter the Chapel Royal, a Grand Old Duke of York, and the 2023 Coronation route. Pass by the site of Charles I spent his final hours, and the statues of some of the men who served George VI, before finishing at Westminster Abbey.
Tickets are £15 and must be booked in advance due to limited numbers.
NB this walk will go ahead whatever the weather, and participants will need to be comfortable walking unaided and continuously around the aforementioned locations.
